hi. you don't know me, but i am a friend of liisa's. i just wanted to say that praying THAT IT IS God's will for something won't get you anywhere, because God's will won't change. just pray that He will have His way in the relationship, leading both of you in His will, whatever that may be. even if you don't want to, try to be open and willing to let go of the relationship if that's where God may lead. we have to come to a place in our lives where we will give up anything to follow after Jesus. instead of praying "God, please let this be Your will," pray: "God, please show us Your will, even if it's not being together." Trust Him. His will is better than ours. He knows what's best for you and He only wants you to have the best.
whew, i'm done. i went through this kind of thing before, so i am speaking from experience. i normally don't comment in people's journals that i don't know, but i felt i should this time. be blessed.
I believe theres nothing wrong with praying that it's His will, because in that sense I am praying that I am doing the right thing, not praying that God will change His mind. I'm sorry I disagree with you saying it "won't get me anywhere". I trust that God knows my heart and my desires when I pray its personal and God understand what I mean by my prayers. I believe God has helped Rog and I so far, and I believe it is His will, but by praying that it is His will, once again I am praying that I am doing the right thing. Thanks though. :)
