school will take as long as it has to.
just because your parents won't go for it, remember it's better getting things done as they come, not smashing everything into 4 years because that's how you're "supposed" to be at college for. wouldn't you rather go to college and be comfortable knowing you took an extra year towards your career instead of having more mental breakdowns because you want to cram for 4? think about it. it isn't about your parents, it's about YOU.. and you're future depends on it.

I have this saying that I like to tell Cristina a lot, it says, "Don't let a bunch of Christians get in the way of God's will for your life." Christians always think they know what is best for you to do, but when God moves in us, He moves in radical ways that go against human norms and standards, which means that yes, even some Christians may at first disagree with what God is doing in your life. Just because you don't have time for bible studies is no big deal, it's one semester. Granted, fellowship is good and you'll miss it, but you won't lose your friends. And if anyone from cru comes up to you and says, "Steph, I haven't seen you in a while, how are you doing?" (and they say it slow and serious like that) it means they think you are a heathen, but don't listen to them.

Pray about band, newhouse and cru. Give it time before you come to any conclusions and start making decisions, wait for God to tell you what to do.
