cut some layers into the top half of your hair and use a lot of volumizing products/hair spray to give yourself some volume.

what is the length of your hair now? same as in the pic of yourself or the girl with the dickies shirt?

i agree that you need a few layers in the top half....maybe try some products to give it some texture too

mousse might sound a little out dated, but you might want to try it while your hair is still wet... be careful to not put too much in.
