A lovely story!

I can understand that Danny's mom was thrown off by his revelation about his and Steve's relationship and that she needed some time to wrap her brain around it. So good for both Danny and Steve for giving her that time and for forgiving her for momentarily freaking out because in the end she reached out to her son to make amends and to get to know Steve and that's all you can ask for.

It's certainly something that can throw any mom off, no matter how much she loves her kid. Moms, too, are only human after all. In my first version of this story there was a lot more drama involved, but I thought this would be enough, wouldn't want to overlie the fluff too much ;)
