Wow. I don't even know. 2012 was the last time I was on here. That's...fucking wild.

I know I am friended with you on LJ, but I have so many old LJ accounts that I can't remember which I used on your LJ or what name I reviewed with on fanfic. Everything you said about teaching is true. It is a very hard job and I am sure it is even more difficult these days than it was when I was in the classroom. I used to tell first year teachers that you spend the first year trying to figure out what you are supposed to be doing and the second year figuring out how you are going to do it. After that you figure out the best way to do it. The best way to do some things stays the same, but depending on your students, there are other times that you are going to have to figure out a better way. During the school year teaching is a 24/7 job because you are always thinking about what you need to do, how you are going to do it, and how you can give individual help to each of your students. (But you already know that.) Your life over the past few years has been a real whirlwind ( ... )

Above anon comment is mine....finally figured out which account I used. I enjoy Star Trek. It had some ground breaking story lines when it first aired, not that subsequent versions don't, but it was the first. Will always remember a low key talk given by Gene R. at a local community college in one of the smaller classrooms after the series ended when there was a glimmer of hope for a movie. He brought the original of the Cage to show, too.

I revisited your Captain Miserable because Saitou has always been one of my favorite game/anime husbands. I didn't remember when I first read it, but it was 5-6 years ago I think, with me glued to my phone reading on FFN binging chapter after chapter, laughing like a witch under the pillow as to not wake everyone up. Fell for your other SxT other AUs (I DO love modern AUs lol).

Found this entry just exactly when Capn' Mis crossed my mind again. I hope things are going smoothly for you!

That's a fair reaction, considering the silences on here have gotten to be long and bots run rampant on LJ.

It was nice to see you had checked in. I'm well. Attempting to get my life in order, a forever work in progress. Some aspects are easier than others to order. Such is life.

I'm glad you're well (I hope you're well). I hope you've found success in your chosen profession, or are working towards that success, at any rate!
