eek, havent updated for ages it seems.

Well the rest of the quillers had a summit, which i couldn't go to *sob*. the truly scrumptious soupytwist phoned me up the sunday before the summit to ask if i was going. I then proceeded to have a coronary as I had no idea it was so soon and my mum had already bought the train tickets to come up to see me on the day ( Read more... )

Those words are off a 'teaser card' for OoP that JKR's auctioning at Sotheby's for charity. There's 98 words on the card in total, but those are all we know so far. We don't even know if the words on the card are in sentences or anything! Arrgghh!

I agree with you 100%. You know, a little old lady was looking at me yesterday as if I was a bug as I claimed my student discount. She actually then muttered to her friend about how all students were just too lazy to get a job and we were all no good hippies. I turned around and told her that I had a job and went to college alongside it, that I worked alot harder than she could possibly imagine and thatshe should think before she speaks!

OK, I felt bad afterwards, she was about 90!

Still, it is a little unfair and we are the scapegoats of society. As for top up fees! I'm working my arse off at the cinema trying to save money to help pay at least some of my fees so my parents don't have to fork out. The crux of the matter for me is that I CANNOT afford to go to university. I need to do some serious saving up and then get out a loan all at the age of 17. Does this not scream out unfair to everyone? And thats without these top up fees! I say we make like the french and go on a mass demonstration thorough the streets of ( ... )

I was *going* to watch it: then saw the shrouded body and bottled out, lunging for the TV to switch it off.
I'm a squeamish wimp. But just the *idea* of it: 'Oh, Lord, he's gonna slice him up' had me shaking and thankful that I'd wimped out.
