So, today with my art history class I went to visit Casa Buonarroti. It is basically the house that Michelangelo grew up in. I saw some of his earliest works, including "Madonna of the Stairs," which is a low relief sculpture done when he was about 15. One some of the works you could see the chisel marks in the stone.
