Gossip can be very bad - but when truth is withheld it can be more damaging I think.

"Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!" It's a sad but true concept, people don't bother to check out what is fact and what is fiction. I heard something once about passing on information about someone else, but damn it I can't remember what it is, and I loved it so much. hmmm task to hunt it down now I think!

DAMN....I got there AFTER the self destruct happened.

I think that sometimes a good girly gossip with someone that you trust is healthy and cathartic.

BUT, when you insist on talking shit about people behind their back and don't have the balls to take it to them directly, thats when problems start. Also, as you said, when you mindlessly regurgitate (as some are SOOO good at) and don't actually ask the person in question what the story is, and repeat to people that you don't know well enough to ascertain their trustworthiness...again with the problems...

just my 2cents (I gotta get rid of them somehow, they aren't legal tender anymore!!)
