Dread braids and plastic

Dread-braids in six shades of pink and uv reactive white, with plastic accents, as a birthday present for the lovely mundenlogic.
This is the first time we've done dread-braids on a real person [although we've done them on a wig before] so we were really pleased with how they turned out.

Very cool! Out of interest, how did you do the dread-braids?

One shade of kanekalon jumbo is braided double ended style in with a blanket stitch braid (which i cannot explain - next time i do one i'll make sure to take a picture to demonstrate!) The second shade is then 4-way box braided all the way to the end, and blasted for a few seconds with a 2000 watt hairdryer.

Yeah, curious - are dread braids just 2 dreads plaited together? Very pretty colours and textures :)

Wow, those are interesting! And they resemble so much like dreads, I wonder if you could wash those though?? Lacey LOu

i have no idea if they'd hold up to washing - i assume so but i think they'd get heavy. I don't ever wash my double ended dreads either though - it's not necessary. they are pretty tough!
