I have very few friends whose babies were born "on time." My son was two weeks past his due date, and I got the same unsolicted advice from people. I am an extremely private person myself so I didn't even know how to react when people started giving me all sorts of advice. Kind of hard to hide you're 42 weeks pregnant though!

Hope your little one is here soon!

thanks Desember. It is nice to have someone fully understand. By the way, how did you find out about my journal? I am always floored when someone I know who isn't on livejournal suddenly replies to a post. I guess these things really do get out into the world. Take care.

I saw hajijohn on Kirsten's friends list and thought "I wonder if that's the John I know?"

And I am on livejournal...I just always forget to login before I post a reply.

Hang in there, you two; the advice is far from ending. I can promise that at least from this friend, you'll get no advice that you don't request. And all three of our children were late - and very healthy.

Love you.
