Finals are over for the summer term and now I have two weeks off before the Fall term starts. That should be just enough time to plan Girl Scouts for the year and complete training for the new job. :)
The kiddos start back tomorrow and the day after. Choir, band, swimming and Ruhi, and a youth Fireside. Should be a fun year.

I opened a checking account at Chase less than a week ago and then a few days later I got a flyer in the mail, advertising $100 for opening an account with direct deposit. So, I called and asked if they'd still honor the ad and was told that they would, for up to 30 days. :)

My summer job has been great in some ways but they want me to go full-time and really do need a full-time person. I just can't be that person, what with a 50-ish hour/wk school load this Fall. So, I gave my notice (effective mid-Aug) and offered to train whoever they hire to replace me. I also got in touch with someone at school for an on-campus ( Read more... )

Stephi found the kitty lurking around today. :) We'd looked around quite a bit outside in the last couple days, but when Stephi took out the trash today Bumper just walked up to her from the neighbor's yard. Aeryk was sure he'd been the one to let her out and is now quite relieved. Everyone is pretty happy, actually.

My kitty was a present for my 12th birthday, 18 years ago. And she appears to be missing; probably got outside somehow. I hope we find her, or that she's happy at least. We live on a busy street now and I thought she'd come back for food. I knew I'd lose her soon, given her age, but I didn't ever think it would be like this.

So, I came in to work today as usual and our alarm system was still on. The owner lives here but he'd gone out of town and he had planned on being back last night but apparently decided to stay away for another day. Unfortunately, no one told me that and I'm too new to have the alarm code yet ( Read more... )

Yesterday I turned 30. I'm so glad to be done with the 20s but wasn't really looking forward to the whole birthday thing. Still, some of my family called and sent cards, flowers came from Oregon, I had a nice time out with my girlfriend Tiffany last night and then today I bought a Jeep and traded in our minivan. :) I'm looking forward to taking ( Read more... )
