So, I came in to work today as usual and our alarm system was still on. The owner lives here but he'd gone out of town and he had planned on being back last night but apparently decided to stay away for another day. Unfortunately, no one told me that and I'm too new to have the alarm code yet

Well, after an hour I gave up. It turns out, ADT called our main contact aft 30 min. and he said that the police hadn't arrived and that they didn't need to because it was me and I supposed to be here. So they called the police and said "never mind." Good thing I wasn't actually robbing the place. I'd have been in another state before they got here. :)
