As of today our baby is 12 days overdue, and the wait continues. We have a checkup ultrasound this afternoon, but our midwife assures us things still look good. Toilet bowl was the highlight of my day
Yesterday was superbowl Sunday. Woo-hoo! Once again my pick for superbowl didn't pan out, but it was a good game anyway. I have seen much more dull superbowl games. Superbowl aside, the absolute best thing about the day was participating in the 12th annual toilet bowl. I've been absent
O.K. since I am now getting livejournal nudges (thank you Euqsam) I guess I will post. A lot has happened over the last five weeks. Katherine went into early labor twice. I was sitting on the couch yesterday studying for a math final, when the phone rang. The voice on the other end asked if they had reached the Greer residence. I replied in the affirmative, and she continued on to tell me that she now owns what was previously MY dog, Tico. What car/computer?
I think technology just dies around me. Maybe I'm a wizard (inside joke to readers of the Dresden Files). Ever since I had the clutch in my car replaced a couple of months ago, the car has been randomly falling out of gear with a violent thunk. So here I sit in my former health teacher's office, becaue she invited me to have some place dry, and wanted some company while she grades midterms. She really is an awesome person (only a year older than I am). So it is really nice to have one staff on campus that is more of a peer that is fun to hang out with. Well what do you know?
Tico has returned home. Alaric lives in a duplex owned by his grandmother, who happens to live in the other unit. As it turns out she only like those disgusting little yappy dogs, that are really only cats in drag. She vetoed Tico, and being the matriarch of the family, grandma's veto carries some weight.
