I have no idea if this will help you at all or if you're even interested, but when I was trying to break bad dating patterns, this site and the articles helped me a lot: http://baggagereclaim.com/ A lot of the stuff you were talking about resonates with some of the lessons it teaches. I haven't read any of the posts lately. If memory serves, I think the author is Christian, but doesn't often reference it in her posts. She's British and occasionally swears, if that matters to you. She speaks VERY frankly and is unapologetic.
