The past two days had hosted more than enough excitement and odd moments. First, the entire Gotei 13 throws her a huge party for her birthday (to which Captain Kyouraku didn't even show). Then, the following morning, he shows up, almost enigmatically, acting so... different than his usual womanizing self, presenting her with a photo album of her time as vice captain.
Before he left, he seemed a bit strange as well, mumbling something about matters that he must attend to. And she could have sworn he said something about a "her". Who could he have been talking about?
Oh well, it doesn't matter. Trying to convince herself not to think about him was becomming more and more difficult. Why was he being like this all of a sudden?
Do I miss the old Captain Kyouraku?
Just as she finished tidying her room up, there was a loud pounding on the door. There was only one person this could be.
"Nanao-channnnnnnnnnnnn!"
Bracing herself for what was coming next, she hesitantly placed her hand on the doorknob and turned. And there she was, barely passing her knees, Vice Captain Yachiru.
"Good morning, Vice Captain Kusajishi." She spoke, brows knit together. Whenever Yachiru came around, it meant nothing but trouble.
"I have special orders to take you to the special spot!" Always her joyful self.
Just then, she felt her arm being snatched and pulled. Before she knew it, both Yachiru and Nanao were dashing across the rooftops of the Seireitei, with Nanao having absolutely no clue what Yachiru was up to.
After several minutes of high speed traveling, they reached an old, building which seemed to have been abandoned for some time now. There was a mixture of surprise and bewilderment spread across Nanao's face.
"What is all this Kusajishi-san?" Attempting to get some information out of Yachiru was no easy task.
"He should be here annnnnnnny minute!" said Yachiru, hand shielding her eyes from the sun, searching around for someone. "Ahh! Here he is!" she spoke as Shunsui appeared directly in front of the duo. "Everything's all ready Shun! And I'll be off now! You two have fuuunnnn!" And she was off.
"Well I guess it's just the two of us, my Nanao-chan," It seemed as if Shunsui was back to his old self again. "I have a special treat for you inside. If you would," motioning for her to enter the building.
Inside, there was a huge display of flowers in all different shades. A beatiful blanket that seemed to be made to match Shunsui's haori was spread across the floor. And on top of it, were beautiful plates. Plates filled with... crumbs.
"What is this...?" She hesitated at first, then proceeded to ask,
"Yachiru...."
