So, my family (sans Brad and Heidi, which would have only made it better) and I went to Boston this weekend. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was completely blown away with what a cool city it is. I've always loved big cities, but this one is big in a way that feels small. It's not SO overwhelming. It is so incredibly appropriate that there are tornadoes running rampant through Tennessee tonight. It's really the most fitting end to what has been a stormy and tumultuous few weeks in my own life. I think that tumultuous is probably a strong word, but it is also kind of appropriate.
