Everything about Karl is beautiful.

I admit, I spent most of this chapter shrilling about it to a friend in IM, in particular every Dave and Terezi line. I love Teri, I love how you write her as a human, I love their relationship; it takes a light hand to mess with the concept of multiple destinies and multiple destinies together without making it saccharine or unconvincing, but you get it right each time and you have no idea how happy it makes me. The way you write Terezi, all the dignity and intelligence and Badass McBadass you give her: You have your own promises to keep, as you work towards the day when Terezi Pyrope will ride again. Yesssss!!

Oh my goodness, you have not been overdoing it with the Dave and Terezi stuff at all: giving them resonance and weight is just echoing off how much weight Karkat's carrying over John, and it doesn't take away from the narrative. Their friendship-romance is amazing and seeing it here drives me bananas over how good it is. I actually spent most of this chapter, as I said, shrilling, though thankfully my friend also digs this story so we just spent our time screaming at each other over how good it was. Despite how much it reveals me to be a dork, I will quote my exact words

To be perfectly honest I could sit here for hours and talk about my creative process and relationship dynamics and as-yet-unrevealed backstories and about a thousand other things but that would contain SPOILERS and spoilers are BAD so I will just. Sit on my hands quietly I guess, haha. I am beyond thrilled by all these wonderful comments, man. These are the sorts of things that keep me writing instead of doing a couple of chapters and then forgetting all about it for a month and a half. (Also I'm just going to take a moment and inform you that that fic where John and Karkat were making lasagna is hands down my favorite fic of them because I just realized that you also did that one and am kind of spazzing out of my own accord so. You know, I didn't remember how bad I'd felt when all the trolls' lusus died one after the other until you brought Artour into the story. I don't think I've commented on this before, but I've been reading, and it keeps getting better. Regarding your author's note, this might be helpful if you haven't seen it at least regarding Gamzee's quirk, which is an absolute bitch to type.

(and psssst art school finals are... well for liberal arts classes, there are tests and papers, and for studio classes - i.e. the five hour long classes - you have final projects that usually span about three weeks and usually end up all being due at the same time. it sucks. D: )

So I just found this the other day and have now spent all my free time catching up. That's how awesome this is. You've managed to take the pure epic that is homestuck and make it your own thing without diluting any of its pure awesomeness properties, and I love it!
