This is short, but important. Both the the title and the lines of poetry come from Algernon Charles Swineburne's poem "The Triumph of Time".

AWESOME INTERMISSION IS COMPLETELY, UTTERLY AWESOME.

I never actually realised how much I wanted Dave and Vriska interaction before, and you pull it off here with panache (I could have read eight more pages of that, actually)

Yeah I kind of hate writing Vriska because she's the character I have the least amount of grasp on but I feel like her and Dave could have an amazing dynamic if they ever actually. You know. Interacted at all whatsoever.

I am so witty and smart about my subtext am I not. (but haha I am glad you picked up on that it was not particularly subtle but all the same.)

(Actually I am so horribad at history, especially ancient history, that it's kind of a miracle I remember anything at all.)

Haha! It pleases me too, since it was deliberately written that way. I love my pretentious, confusing, metaphor-and-subtext-and-foreshadowing laden bullshit just a bit too much.
