NYC on the horizon
This year we're taking a family vacation to the Big Apple for March break. We have tickets for Wicked, a CityPass for entrance to four major museums, and a list of stuff to do.
Now we just have to survive the 12 hour drive. -
Question for the theater folks
C has asked K to be a witch for Halloween. But not just any witch, but Elphaba from Wicked, i.e. full green face, hand & arm make-up. Any suggestions on what to use and where to get it? TIA! -

Bought a safe
When we bought our house we managed to score a safety deposit box at the bank which handled our mortgage. (Any other time I've asked about a safety deposit box I've been told there's a waiting list.) It's a Kobo!
Last night we added a Kobo eReader (w/ WiFi) to our family. K has wanted and e-book reader for a while and somehow decided that now was the time. So I did the research and gave a hard look at the Kindle, but decided against it because the Markham Library uses OverDrive which uses EPUB. Daytona week 1 continued
Sunday we tried to sleep in and were somewhat successful. After breakfast we drove down to Ponce Inlet Lighthouse - the tallest lighthouse in Florida (and still operational, although volunteer run) and climbed up (and down) all 203 stairs. Some days it's good to be a geek
While on vacation at Walt Disney World the camera reported a write error then refused to read the card. (Would you believe they don't sell SD cards at WDW?) Although it was a yum-cha card, I had used it with no problems to video the Christmas concert. So I stuck it in the bag to investigate further when I got home ( Read more... )
