Overall good episode! The weird thing about the show is that there are a lot of parts that grate on me, and then others that I LOVE. I just don't understand.
Glee isn't something like LOST where the writers are looking to trip you up at every possible turn. Ha ha. There's gonna be a healthy amount of predictability in shows that don't hinge on secrets and plot twists.
I'll agree with you about Rachel's egotism and Puck's doucheyness, but I think they're like that now just so they have room to grow into better characters. It wouldn't be a very compelling show if Rachel's egotism didn't create conflict and Puck's duality didn't show a deeper side to him that not many characters get to see, if at all. So far, the glee club has done wonders for getting characters to come into themselves. Rachel is just on the slower side of things and Puck hasn't even started on the road to non-doucheyness.
Yeah, I know. I just thought they said that they wouldn't go the typical high school route but so far it's been pretty typical. :(
I hope it gets better. I get that they make the show compelling, but Puck I just thought was too sudden and not developed enough for actual ANGST. And I don't like it as a character developer, especially when we've hardly seen him do anything else yet. There are other ways to showcase his good side, but the whole stepping up and taking responsibility as the teenage father of the accidental baby is so old/unoriginal and too dramatic for my liking. Pregnancy in general is messy and a boulder of dramatics, which is totally unecessary imo. But...Well, I just hope it doesn't drag out forever. Murphy's known for going fast.
Agreed. MAN did they turn up the drama dial. And all this Finn/Quinn/Puck stuff is INSANE, my god. Glee writers, you CAN develop a plot point over a few episodes, I promise.
Kurt is so fabulous. SO FABULOUS. I can't even get over it. And Tina! I hope we see more Tina &hearts
I'm still writing Puck/Kurt, though its a little more eh now -- but yeah, there was totally that moment of Kurt/Finn. OH FINN. He seemed so honestly okay with Kurt, both asking him out, and just trying to help him on the football team. BOYS.
Yeah, it seems like it goes on and off each episode. Part of me doesn't like it because they don't take enough time to develop the characters, and another part is glad that it won't last long because this whole preggers thing does not go up my aisle D:.
Tina was so adorable! ♥ When she was like "I'll take one for the team", it was so precious. I ♥ her completely.
My respect for Finn shot up when he seemed totally okay with Kurt asking him out. And didn't seem totally appalled at the idea like I would have expected. THANK YOU RYAN MURPHY I love you for that. And don't forget the whole "Red is your color" line. FINN stop it, you're making me ship you and Kurt! But anyway, yes, KEEP WRITING IT! I would definitely still read any Puck/Kurt.
Also, I didn't talk about this but my heart broke when Kurt and his dad talked about his mom. Kurt STOP BREAKING MY HEART.
I loved the scene where Kurt came out. :D ♥ And Kurt was just FABULOUS throughout the entire episode. :D!! (Then again, when is he not? ;D) And holy crap, I was not expecting Jenna's voice to sound like that. It was ♥♥ :D :( I fucking LOVE Quinn. This new storyline is breaking my heart. :[ And yes, the drama is getting to be a bit TMTH, but hopefully they slow down a bit and rethink some things. I still think the show is lovely though. :) ♥
BB was fierce! ♥ Those football players don't got anything on him. And Quinn has become one of my favorites. IDK how it happened but it has. It definitely is! I am only so critical because I love it so much, and all the things I love has been said before so I don't want to sound like a record. But I really do love it, it's wonderful and hell I cannot wait until the next episode. Kristen chenoweth, guys! Kristen chenoweth/Puck! That is going to be awesome.
Ack! Sorry I totally missed your episode post. But yeah, word to pretty much everything. Loved Kurt. Loved Tina. I still like Quinn a lot, though I HATE the pregnancy storyline. You're absolutely right about Puck. It's just too soon, and he's still a complete asshole.
Finn kind of came out of the blue as one of my favorite characters. I don't normally like the main guy hero of a show, but MY GOD Finn is just so adorable and...honest and it seems like everything he does is sincere and heartfelt. Even his stupidity manages to be cute, somehow.
I'm excited about tonight's ep because no matter what I'm dead-sure that Kristen will ROCK THE HOUUUUUSE.
Aw, don't worry about it! ♥ And I agree, no no no to the pregnancy story line. And with Puck of all people, gragh. I mean yeah he's hot but not 'get me pregnant and screw my life up re: my religion my relationship and my family and my future' hot. /facepalms
Finn is getting more precious to me! I don't know how I'll feel about him after tonight, he can be dumbly cute but he can hurt other people too in the process even if he didn't mean to. You can tell he's got a good heart though. ♥
KRISTEN CHENOWETH! ♥ And you know when she makes out with puck in the trailer, you see Kurt staring at them like O_o lmao. Oh Kurt.
