Okay, I simply cannot believe this is happening, but there's been some issues about the fact that I chose to make McCoy from Kentucky as opposed to Georgia over at Fandom Secrets. I'm not super active in any one fandom. Hell, I just wrote this series on a whim, but apparently it's inspired not only fans, but haters as well.

*hug* I am so, so sorry this happened to you. Really, I love your work. Nurse Chapel is one of my favorite characters, and I adore the way you write her. Your fic has brought me round to the McCoy/Chapel ship, one which I hadn't considered before. It is beautiful writing and you are extremely talented. There were people who got good grades in my fourth-year Creative Writing class who didn't write half as well as you do. I really hope you keep at it.
I know something like this can be disheartening, however, I really hope that you don't stop writing McCoy/Chapel. It's the kind of nitpicking that happened to you, that has given Star Trek fans the intense, crazy reputation they have. I'm sorry that one stupid idiot has instead ruined your enjoyment of the new fandom. People like that are the worst. (Who the hell cares if old canon had it as Georgia, anyway? New Trek is a freaking AU! I also don't recall McCoy/Chapel being TOS canon either ... are they going to quibble with that?!)
Anyway, I hope you do still write your McCoy/Chapel novel. I'll be looking forward to it!
