it did seem like quite a knee jerk reaction. OTOH, i can't help but "see" her as Bella's character, stuck being teen with a negative self impression...or something like that. words are not my friend today. LOL she pretty much just made herself look like that character by assuming she knows everything about her fandom and the interwebs. ;)
Well I totally missed what happened....but I think its a bit ridiculous to not keep writing. Stuff like this happens ALL the time...move on.
But anyway I really wanted to ask you about New Moon because I don't know anyone else who has read these books. I just finished the part where the Cullens leave and Bella is distraught and the next few pages are just months that go by with nothing. Before I can continue I have to know how long I will have to put up with Bella and her moping and whining before the rest of the story moves on?? Because if I'm to do it, I have to prepare myself...please tell me its only a chapter or two!
"my eyes were rolling so hard when i was reading that it was hard to find my place.
i, personally, think she's still smarting over fandom's reaction to Breaking Dawn and a)wants to attempt to punish us and b)she's afraid there will be the same kind of backlash over Midnight Suni say, whatthefuckever SMeyer. if the material is good, people will buy it no matter if they've already partially read it or not. why don't you concentrate on that sweetheart and not how you've been OMG!SOWRONGED

{{smooch}} thanks for that info and rant. really, i can do nothing but agree with you. *nods*
as for the drama around Breaking Dawn, i would have to read the books again to fully understand the "outrage" or other issues with the characters. on hindsight, i guess i may be able to agree with the characters being "out of character" somewhat. of course i tend to skip over that stuff and just get the general gist of the story. *g*
Yep came across this last night on ONTD...haven't read it yet..but will.
She needs to stop whining and keep writing. Yea people who you think won't screw you, will, just the way it is....not EVERYONE is like that but, I thought she would have a thicker skin after all of the scuttle from BD....ah well. That is what happens when you put yourself out there....expect to be judged and the people who dislike you will make the biggest noise. I think this is almost her way of subconsciously (or not) getting back at those who ragged out BD.
If you read some of the "reviews" she got for Breaking Dawn (and I still don't see why, btw), then I totally understand her reaction. I wouldn't want to write for a hateful bunch like that either.
What she - unfortunately - fails to see is these are only a minority of people... and that at the end of the day, she doesn't write her books for them but for herself.
I hope she learns from the experience and continues to write. I need my emo Edward fix. ;)
*stares at your icon* mmmm...well except for Bella :P
i have not read any reviews for BD. there is no point IMO b/c i probably would not agree with them or i would depending on the topic. not bothering. i think she needs to get a thicker skin and stop listening to both the rabid fangirls and the haters and just listen to those that are able to fairly judge her work on its merits as well as shortcomings. the middle of the road people are who she should be writing for. ;)
