Whoo! Tentacles!

So far there have been five (5!) brilliant responses to my tentacle fic challenge.

Read them, feed the authors back if you are so inclined. After all, one can't live on cookies alone.

*raises hand in the air* I could host the website. And create it if needed.

Whoohoo! Thanks for the offer. I'm still pondering options. If I decided to host it somewhere else (say on the very aptly named squidge *g*) is the offer of coding still open? As I say, just pondering at this point. :)

I've got a ton of spare space on the NSA site.

Or, if you're interested in getting some slash hosting space, the slashcity people do an absolutely great package for $2 a month. Webspace, e-mail, a mailing list, a really nice management interface and good support. (And I think, if you mention my name when you sign up, I get a free month's hosting or something. I forget -- they run some kind of referral thing anyway.)

And I've just noticed that the link for my story actually leads to your LJ page. The one you want is:

Thanks for the offer and the info. That's really rather affordable. Though a no-budget option would be more sensible at this point. Might take you up on it, or might follow Mary's lead and inquire about space at the very appropriately named squidge. :)

Hee! I am ever so amused, particularly by
does double take at self: if I start a *what*?
And Squidge is a lovely slashfriendly webhost, and free, if you need more options.

Squidge also has a really cool name for such a thing. Am still thinking about it, thanks for the info.

I so agree about the name. Well done, that man. *g*

('That man' being Walter the lovely slashfriendly webhost. His Terms of Service are here - I note that he has no problem with RPS - and his email addy is at the bottom of the Squidge.org homepage.)

Thanks so much for the information. I read it, and I'm still pondering. Will post if/when I decide anything.

Authors, how do you feel about that?

It was stories for cookies, so it's yours now and you can do with it whatever you want. *g*

Are there enough tentacle stories for a whole archieve?

I think more than one is enough, and I've already got five! *g*

Um, I don't know if you're in Due South fandom but there's been a rash of tentacle stories there, too.

cmshaw made a post about some spam she got and it kind of snowballed from there.

Due South is my first media fandom & slash love. :) And come to think of it, that post is what set my mind that way too. I haven't seen any of the DS tentacle stories yet, though. Thanks for the head's up! {goes to look for more tentacle stories}

Oh, it was a challenge? That explains a lot, then... I was wondering what sort of crack had entered the LJ water supply that all these stories about *NSYNC and... um, tentacles were showing up on my friends list. o_0

Heh, yeah, it was me. Original challenge post here. It was inspired by someone on my flist talking about alien tentacle sex spam and having to open it to make sure it wasn't from a friend. Apparently I wasn't the only one inspired, there's a similar spate of tentacle sex stories over in Due South fandom. *g*
