Interlock asked for ficlets inspired by her icons (it's a meme going round) and I wrote one. I'm reposting it here to remind myself that I actually write short stuff too sometimes. :)

Well, and to give Marycrawford a forum should she wish to nitpick in return --though with all the hectic washing machine buying, I imagine she hardly has the time. ;) Speaking of which

Yup! Bought new washing machine after all, and very dainty it will look compared to the old hulk we had.

But am zonked and barely coherent, so not much use as beta. I like the woman, who reminds me of another winged woman we both know.
Sally's speech sounds very very arch to me, mostly because of the 'one's ('lends one a certain dignity' etc) and the 'quite' and 'certain' and so on, and I find I don't quite believe in her. I do believe in the winged woman, though. *g*
