Craft fair.

Cut-tagged because I babble more when I'm tired.

I suffer from salvation shopping syndrome. I'll look at something I want but can't afford and I start thinking 'But this item will solve so many problems! And I'll never have to buy X or suffer Y anymore which means I won't do money-costing-thing-Z ever again! It will save money in the long run!' ( Read more... )

what an interesting post! Someday, I hope I get to Europe and can see some of this stuff for myself :)

and I've had quite a hard time finding what works for my house too--especially the floors. What I did, after buying a swiffer and being pretty disappointed in it -- I use it for a damp mop; I took some Mr. Clean (a general purpose cleaner that you can dilute for various things -- I bought it to use on the floor; so I diluted it like I would if I had been using it for regular mopping) and put it in a spray bottle. Then I put a damp handcloth, or face cloth, just a small towel thingy, on the swiffer. I spray the floor cleaner on the floor, a little 4 x 4 foot square or so, and then use the swiffer with the cloth. It works really well, especially for just an in-between quick mop, and it's cheaper and creates less waste than buying the swiffer cloths.

Ha, and here I thought I was just babbling. :)

The spray & mop thing sounds smart. Less chance of sloshing too much water on the floor (as I have very often done). I'd still need to dust before I use anything moist though, or I create a mudbath on my floor. *g*

Shit! There's so much good stuff there! Want to go now:). I want a bristle toothbrush now--sounds amazing:).

As for those leather/metal clasps you put a wooden stick through--oh, how I wish I had a very flexible plastic pin for my silver clasp (it's even got a triskell on it), since my hair's way too thick to fit into the damn thing:(. Grr. Will have to make one myself someday...

*nods* Make sure the plastic doesn't have casting seams or file them down. Those sharp edges will slice right through the mantle of the hair. And maybe until then you can wear it with part of the hair in it, the back hanging loose, or something? That's what I do sometimes. A thin half-tail looped back on itself before fixing the clasp looks interesting.

nifty! - shiny hair toys, and it sounds like a lovely day, even without the undoubtedly deserved virtuose glow of domestic-godessness ;)

Honestly, my kitchenfloor has lots of ick on it, there is clutter *everywhere* and it's only recently that I'm even marginally able to keep up with the laundry.

While I'm not one to refuse glorious sounding titles like that, this whole how to do stuff thing is just because I want housekeeping to be easy. :)
