My baby's got a broken wing.

Yesterday I went to the library. I got several of Joan Aiken's books and one of Alice Hoffman's, among others. I'm reading Lady Catherine's Necklace right now, Aiken's sequel to Pride and Prejudice. It's interesting to look at an Aiken world through an Austen-esque window. I prefer Aiken. I wish she was still alive so that I could meet her. ( Read more... )

I drove five hours to get home on Friday. I was supposed to do my history paper when we got back but I was so tired that I just ate dinner and went to bed. Cait and I had a date at Evergreen Cafe and then went for a walk in the neighborhood behind all of those restaurants. It's really cute, with lots of brick houses with little balconies and trellises. It's been rainy all day, though I haven't been outside yet. I slept in and didn't go to any classes. I pretty much slept the whole day. I felt like I deserved a break from incessant reading.
