Lovely - I can't imagine how I missed this when it was posted. It was tender, hot and wholly convincing. I especially like the maturity in them - the recognition that each of them has things they need to do, but that their relationship is special and permanent, and needn't be rushed.

A chaste goodbye kiss was never on the cards, but sleeping together just because she's going away wouldn't have been a good idea either. I think you got this just right.

Oh gosh, thank you so much!!! I really value your opinion and I really appreciate all of your comments!! In the past, I've been of the mind that they pretty much jumped each other right away, but lately, I've moved more toward this (actually, writing their kids has made me see Ron and Hermione differently, if that makes any sense). I'm really glad that it's resonating with other people too as being realistic!!
