I have been on a Wilco binge. It is the best music for my mood the past two days. I have my high points (boppy songs such as Heavy Metal Drummer) my meh points (Spiders (Kidsmoke)), my memories (A Shot in the Arm) my low points (all the static and stuff on A Ghost is Born). my sister is the girl who loved biology in high school and is doing biology now. well actually chemistry. she loveeees it! it's insane. when she talk about all the molecules and really really complicated junk she gets so excited she talks like us when we are in hyper mode, only about organic chemistry!
my point is you should stick with what you love! if you have the passion and the will and the drive you can totally make it! and i know you have got what it takes Hallieboo!

on the whole occupation issue:
my mom is one of those science dorks that loves her job. 'nuff said.
my dad has been too many occupations and is always getting new occupations. whatother dancer/yoga teacher/buisness consultant/couples therapist/stay at home mom do you know? not many.
BUT! i think you should be whatever you want to be. that is a quote in this song by Fred Small. He was my favorite singer when i was six and i thought he was a celebrity when in reality, i was just weird. I'll play you the tape (yes tape, it was all the way back then).
hmmm......and on the wilconess of your week, i want you to get me into them. your good at that (see belle and sebastian, the return of rent, guster, etc.)
