what was she studying? This is more of a question of the engineering department than anything else.

As for boredome...I cane to dc 7 years ago planning to drag the girl I was dating at the time back to denver as soon as her lease ran out. I have a lot of freinds in denver and will not need to worry about boredom.

There is a difference between 'I find this area boring' vs 'I find my major boring' vs 'I find my underfunded and understaffed department boring.". :)

I would choose Colorado. For the simple reason that Green Fuels has a large facility in Colorado and you might be able to get on while you're going to school. It would look really good on a resume and you could learn a lot about algae growth and sustainability.
