This series is so adorably cute! It really all makes sense, the pet names and the observations and hesitance and just squee! Can't wait until the next part.
I love the sound of the mystery novel Akira's reading. (And how he knew Honda read the same one.) And the apron's so thoughtful... yellow and the number 5. ^^
Nase and Ashiwara? Love on Nase. She's awesome. It's too bad we didn't see more of her in the series.
The conversation between Isumi and Hikaru was sweet. <3 It's my favorite part.
I love food, and I think it shows in about half of the fics I write. >_<
I want such a mystery novel and may one day write it because I love the idea so much.
Nase does rock. I just keep coming back to the look on her face during the pro exam chapters of the manga... after she beats Honda? She's so proud of herself and so full of go-love and I adore her for it.
I heart them muchly. Hikaru is the best, and Isumi is a good foil for Hikaru's lovey-dovey ramblings.
oh my goodness, i have been enjoying these so much. They are so sweet and funny, and such perfect snapshots of these boys. I love how the newer bits tie back into the older bits, and how sneaky they both are, and how Akira gasps at the scary parts of the murder mystery, and the line where Hikaru brushes Akira's cheek with his knuckles made me squeal with adoration.
Finding these on my flist is the best little present. Thank you so much!
I have done previous little arcs for other series (mostly Prince of Tennis and Gundam Wing) that are much less timeline-oriented than this, and wrote the parts a lot further apart, so it was more difficult to actually string it all together. For these, I just have to remember what I wrote the previous day. ^_^ And sometimes the day before that.
I'm glad you liked this so much. Reading comments like this one really help keep me in a good mood so I can continue to keep this series as fluffy as a baby penguin.
LoL I can remember begging you to keep writing after the first little part and I can't tell you how happy it makes me. It makes me laugh to think how they've domesticated and so nicely at that.
It's really sweet how you give a brief mention to Sai in it. Hikaru owes a lot to him doesn't he?
Ah.. every time Hikaru calls Akira sweetie I just picture Akira tensing up and going red for a few seconds before brushing it off in an awkward manner. He's so cute and he's practically prompting Hikaru to tease! Akira's really thoughtful too! I wonder where Hikaru buys all his five! Shirts though..
Oh and Hikaru is adorable with his strawberry smuggling. He could have saved himself a lot of trouble and picked them up the next time he was alone though *grin*
*grin* You've said such nice things about this fic so far. I really do appreciate it. ^_^
I imagine their life like a go game... a game that neither will resign... ever.
I can't picture Hikaru ever forgetting Sai. I can't decide if I'll actually write him telling Akira about him or not... It might be something that Akira just lets him hold onto while saying, "As much as I want to know, it's your story to tell, and your choice to make."
I imagine that Hikaru gets his 5 shirts mostly in sports stores just because of the association with jerseys, and the fact that Hikaru is very sporty until the whole go thing starts, and by that point he's already set up a shopping pattern. ^_^
I also imagine that Akira holds the purse strings, not necessarily because of a lack of trust in Hikaru, but to feel like he's doing more for the household than just keeping it clean... no matter how hard a task that may be. ^_^ Besides, a trip to the store especially to buy dried strawberries when he could simply have a moment to outwit Akira? Nah. :)
I want to make Waya's part bigger, although, as much as I'd like to, I won't put Waya and Isumi together in this because that's too much gay for this story. Having Hikaru, Akira, and Akira's shirts in one story is almost overwhelmingly gay. *grin* Thanks for continuing to read!
