has anyone ever had the feeling that they're supposed to be amounting to something, then look at themselves, and realize that you're far from it? no idea why, but i got that feeling today... weird.

There is no way you aren't amounting to anything Steve-O! You're my sherona, which is a great accomplishment all in itself! =) I've had that sort of feeling too, but it fades, and so will yours! Keep your chinny chin chin up my sherona. =) -Tu Bo0
thats the problem of western thinking. we have to always progress towards something and when we're not we think of it as stuck and wrong. but i ask you, if you're happy, life is good, then what's so wrong?
no no. im DEFINATELY happy, nothing is wrong in my life. IT's just really really weird. we were driving back from tracy to fresno, and this feeling just came over me, don't know how or why it happened, but it got me kinda sad and i was like... am i supposed to be trying harder? what am I supposed to do? the hardest part was that no one is there to tell me yes or no or how or why... :| but its cool, im in the works of something that might make this feeling go away.

For example:
high expectation followed by downfall:
"I would like to be a super hero."
"damn, i am not a super hero, wo is me."
low expectation followed by what is known as achieving the goal
"I will eat a burrito today."
"I ate a burrito, damn that makes me happy. Task accomplished."
