In Memory of Mike - for Susan

Mar 19, 2011 03:08

Since neither Mike nor Susan are on LiveJournal or Facebook, she won't be able to see all the wonderful comments and photos and memories that everyone is posting. I am compiling all the entries that I can see into one comprehensive document that she can look at when she's ready to do so ( Read more... )

I've used up a lot of tissue, too. I haven't been able to put my feelings into words yet. There are so many memories.

I thought of you when I heard the news, and all the times we've sat together in Mike's back yard. Comfort and love to you, dear friend.

The first post to reach me was on the GT list before noon, though Mike wasn't a Techie. Then MNSTF Natter, and by mid-afternoon, I was getting personal have-you-heard messages.
It was an aggravation every spring to go to Wiscon and miss Mikecon, but I'm even gladder now that I skipped Wiscon once, (even if I see from checking the date it was almost ten years ago).
I've put my first really warm memory of Mike on Gary's page. I'm sort of sorry that Mike's most colorful story about me is not suitable for electronic media.

Ah. Excellent!

I started compiling the LJ posts for the same reason on Friday. But you're way ahead of me, and on Facebook, too.

Yes, please share the document when you're done.

I'll email a PDF of what I have. If there's any of it you're missing, you can either pull the text from the PDF or ask me to send that text in an email message or Word file.

Hugs, love. May you go gently through these days of grief, remembering the joy and the love.
