I don't know why, but I have just wasted about 40mins of my life browsing the Krispy Kreme donut website looking at things that I'm not gonna be able to eat
( Read more... )
you know... I've never had a Krispy Kreme donut though I have heard a lot about them thru movies, tv shows and you + several people talk about it.
I'm sure it's great and all that, and if I happen to be in: New South Wales, the USA, Canada, parts or Europe, Asia and Mexico (I'm not sure if they have it here in Indo, I doubt it)
Well, first I'd just try the original glaze. Cause with those you can have more that just one. The rest are like eating heavenly sugar. The Glazed chocolate cake donut is like eating a double strength mudd cake. Anything with filling is good too, but you can't go past the Karamel Kreme Crunch.
It's got Caramel filling, chocolate icing and crunchy bit's of toffee on top.
When you open a box the smell of the glaze and yeast just wafts through your house. ^___________________^
And the important question is... how much? Is it expensive?
*notes down the different flavours* I'm interested in the Karamel Kreme Crunch... hmmm
When you open a box the smell of the glaze and yeast just wafts through your house. That might not be a good thing since certain members of my family are crazy donut enthusiats :P
Some people reading this will know that I have an irrational aversion to anything that people praise based on branding alone. Now, I'm sure that these doughnuts are great; I mean you don't make it across four continents just with good marketing -- at least, I hope you don't -- but I still get that feeling about them.
Anyway, I just want to point out that Krispy Kreme is only one K away from being involved in white supremacy.
OMG GIVE ME KK'S NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !1!!1!11oneone
you cant go wrong with original glazed kk's and i like the apple ones... i reckon the custard/lemon filled ones are meh... hmmm karamel kreme sounds yum. last time i heard a box (dozen) of original glazed was $10-12 and a box of assorted was $20-23. tis expensive but worth the price ^_^
donut king doesnt compare to krispy kremes... arg and kk's still taste damn good if its a few days old. most doughnuts go stale and yuck after a day but kk's stay nice and soft... i have yet to taste any better doughnut than kks. i tried dunkin' donuts when i was in the philippines and its still no where near as good as krispy kremes ^_^v
melb should be getting a few kk joints around here... i know sydney has 3 so far, one in penrith, liverpool and the airport. so if anyone goes to sydney by plane... get me some >XD
a box of kks dont last a day in my household and i know my bro will be going to syd in a few weeks.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm *droools*
I wonder if Krispy Kreme employs marketing hype - several of my friends told me they read in some paper about a KK opening in Fountain Gate. However when I emailed them they replied:
Thank you for your email regarding new Krispy Kreme store openings. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
We strive to satisfy loyal customers like you and regret that we have no immediate plans to build in the Fountain Gate area. Please be assured that we are working hard to open new stores and continue expanding throughout Australia.
i heard kk was going to be in knox, qv and fountain gate. arg how gay i just checked out the webby and sydney seems to have 7 kk joints and theres another one popping up in cambpelltown soon. thats in syd right? *sigh* i want some kks... looking a the site makes me hungry. i havent eaten breakkie yet... mmmmmmmmmm...
" As you may be aware, we no longer have franchise opportunites/development rights available in Australia. We are not accepting applications at this time. Several markets are currently under development and stores will be opening soon."
I have yet to taste one, but have heard many many people rave on about them; save one (= He told me to lower my expectations, they're only doughnuts after all d= But he did admit to buying 3 dozens each time he goes to Sydney. LOL probably wanted to keep more for himself?
If there were and KK stores opening in Melbourne I'd know about it ^^; I can't believe that there are 2 KK store st Sydney airport but none in Melbourne!
I think your friend is definitely trying to put you off just so that he can keep them all to himself.

So tasty to look at *drools*
Then what you do is eat them before you get into the house. But then by that time the smell of donuts will be all over you >_
