I am so relieved this is an alternate ending. I loved it, don't get me wrong, I breathe for angst, and this was more beautiful than the word beautiful is itself. Magnificent. So in love with this series.

Oh god, the moment Matthew slipped away made me gasp out loud, it was so beautiful yet tragic at the same time, that they didn't get to say a proper goodbye, yet I feel Matthew was waiting to see Dominic one last time & then could go in peace.
I'm a sucker for that 'things we never said then it was too late' kind of story, and I loved this so much, but I am glad it's an alternative ending to spare my little heart somewhat!
