Where, if at all, will you be watching the inauguration?

Or, if it's after the event when you're reading this, where did you watch it?

I got to see the second half of his speech, along with other highlights (courtesy of CNN), that were taped on a DVR by the hosts of a good sized dinner party to which my friend was invited. She brought me along, since I had been to the same home for an Election Night Party. It's a beautiful home in the hills of Agoura Hills, which is a gorgeous area north of Los Angeles. Our hosts were fantastic, wonderful, lovely people, and the home is just about the nicest place I can think of to spend any celebration (the patriarch of the family is an Oscar winner for visual effects). I caught the viewing with something like 15 of the guests, gathered around the tv in their den area, sprawled on the floor, the hearth, chairs, couches, standing in the doorway, and watched in rapt silence. It was pretty awesome.

We pulled out a little rabbit-eared TV from the back room in chambers and all gathered around the set (Adam came over just for the occasion). As befits our role in the impartial judicial branch, we watched primarily in the silence of our own thoughts. It was a powerful moment nevertheless.
