Still working on this 2008 thing
I am obviously having trouble getting the hang of 2008. The back still creaks, the wife and cat are still sick and just to make things interesting I now have one of those sick feelings of doom in the pit of my stomach. I think I have had it with 2008
Started the year with flu and a sore back. Flu has gone away, back is now sorer. I've made it into work for precisely 3 hours so far this year. Fortunately all I am doing at the moment is writing so I can do that from home.
On the plus side Resident Evil [dramatic pause] FOUR has been completed. On to the Umbrella Chronicles. -
BAH Humbug
My carefully designed week of absolutely nothing is not going to plan. Firstly I feel an interesting shade of green. Grinch green is probably appropriate. So instead of the spouse girl's baking smelling good it is instead making me feel greener.
And now my boss has me working on not one but two proposal due Jan 14th so I will have to work next -

Netflix question
Thinking about getting a Netflix subscription as an Xmas gift for the in laws. A couple of questions
1: How easy is the netflix web site to use?
2: Any ideas about how well it would work on a dial up conection? -
Processors - Discuss
It's that time of the decade to buy a new PC. Intel processors have bred like rabbits and now have completely meaningless names.
Since I'll be playing games, doing some Photoshop and MS office stuff on this PC should I go for a quad core Q6600 running at 2.4ghz or a dual core E6850 running at 3ghz?
Opinions?
