Things are really rolling in for SXSW.
I am a big fan of the Revision3.com video podcasts. My favorite is called The Totally Rad Show. It covers all things geeky but mainly movies, games and tv. SXSW Bands And Scfhedule Released
SXSW has released their first official "final" list of bands showcasing at the event. The list will likely still change before the festival but there shouldn't be any drastic changes. Some bands may drop out and big names may be added as surprise announcements.

Amish Hackers

Woz!
Most teenagers have idols who are football players or actors but I wasn't a normal kid. My hero was The Woz. Steve Wozniak created the first personal computer. Together with Steve Jobs he founded Apple computer and created an empire. Ikkicon 2009
As I mentioned on here a few days ago, this weekend was Ikkicon.
Friday at the con I went to a panel on painting in photoshop. It started out poorly. The event staff didn't have a working projector which is vital for a photoshop class. After about fifteen minutes they were able to find one in another room and get things going. The two artists ( Read more... ) -
Ninja High School
The japanese rock comedy band "Peelander-Z" that I shot at SXSW last year just released a new video and it is amusingly odd.
They will be playing in Austin this weekend so I will probably go and get some more shots of them.

Photography Update
I have been trying to figure out what to get Haleigh for Valentine's Day. I had also been trying to find ways to practice my photography before SXSW. I can haz new family member?
During one of the recent bouts of cold weather our garage door was broken and left open. A cat took advantage of the situation taking up residence on a down comforter stored in a corner.
It wasn't long before my sister started feeding her and eventually named her Calli. Yesterday she took her to the vet to get her checked out and it all went well ( Read more... )
