Cooking Zeal, Break Plans, and Walking

I've been on a bit of a cooking fit lately; I cured salmon Christmas eve, made butternut squash and sage soup yesterday, and today wrapped up making my first tarte tatin which came out almost perfectly. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool "America's Test Kitchen" fan, speaking of PBS cooking shows. Maybe it's the plain delight that is host Chris Kimball; I love him, especially his clearly receding hair.

ATK is just a good program because they walk through everything without being gimmicky. It's more like "what's the best way of pursuing this" rather than "let's do this wacky thing!"

Although that said, I was always more partial to the blonde chick who does the baking segments.

If Adam is working tomorrow night, then I am free after 5pm. I'm also free on Friday night, and just about all weekend through New Year's Day. It's going to be pretty mellow around here.

it turns out I may have band practice tomorrow night after all (Thursday night) but I want to hang out in the Valley at least once before I head back to New York. how long are you going to be in LA for?
