Some days I really hate being a "loner". Most of the time I'm okay with it. Actually, I'm never okay with it, but most days I deal fairly well with it. The LGBTQ/Straight Alliance interest recruitment gathering at school seems to consist of a bunch of lesbians who are already friends taking over one of the conversation circles at the student union and gossiping while ignoring anyone else who may be anywhere nearby. I sit here with Isaac while he refuses to do his homework (dot-to-dot 1-100, write 12 spelling words 5 times each, solve 27 simple subtraction problems using a number line), and I wonder how my mother ever got anything done.
