Two of Mark's nieces spent the last couple of days at MIL's house, so we had to be over, too, so the sprogs could play with the cousins. With them here, I've been cooking for nine the past couple of days. I don't mind, really. It keeps me busy, and not even nearly as busy as if I'd still been working at Waffle House. I think my garden planting is nearly done. I only need to dig a small plot behind the shed for the pumpkin patch and possibly, if I'm feeling ambitious and there's gas left in the tiller, a small corn patch. I dunno, I'm so sore already I might not want to do that. Literally every muscle on my anterior side hurts. Maybe I should walk backward ( Read more... ) -

We have a stray cat who lives under our trailer. His name is Mister Thomas Mooney and he keeps a girlfriend named Callie under there, too. (She seems to be sterile, as some calicos are, so no worries about little feral stray kittens in our ductwork.) We feed him (them) when we have table scraps to spare, but can't afford to give them regular ( Read more... ) -

Well I logged on to blog-rant about the injustices of living with my in-laws, but then I read this post and it made me lol, so I was no longer quite so upset. It's difficult to blog-rant when your feelings of fury have deflated.
I might as well. It doesn't really matter much, I think, because no one reads this any more except maybe Jill.
