I really got a kick out of going to the revolving restaurant! When it originally opened, it was a Playboy bunny lounge. I can't quite believe it took me until tonight to finally go there ( Read more... )

I've always wanted to eat at a revolving restaurant! I have to make that happen someday.

While we were there I wondered how many revolving restaurants there are in the US - there can't be that many, right? So I looked at a Wikipedia ad and there aren't a whole lot of them left. I think it was kind of a '70s thing.

The next time you come here for a visit we'll have to put the revolving restaurant on our agenda. While we were there the other night I was talking about bringing you there, and I said to Al that whenever I think of nice or fun places to bring out of town guests I always imagine that the out of town guests will be you and Mr. nagylany.

I've been wanting to visit Austin for a while, so that could be a possibility. Planning future vacation is a little difficult for me right now with the job uncertainty, but I could conceivably prepare for either of those halves: Lost Dutchman again or the Austin one. I don't think I'll be motivated enough to aim for 26.2 just yet.
