It's been just over two weeks since I've gone cold turkey off the corticosteroids and things are about the same. That's sometimes difficult to say one way or the other because some things have gotten worse, but some things seem a bit better. It's been a full week without any steroid use for my eczema. It's bad, but it's not really getting worse, so that's something. I found a new lotion that I've been using on my hands and it's the best eczema lotion I've ever used: TriDerma Eczema Fast Healing. I use it twenty times a day or more ( Read more... )

So I think I'm going to attempt to go off the corticosteroids for my eczema. This is a Big Deal. I will likely be miserable for the next several months, but it may be worth it in the end.

One of what I'm sure will be multiple delights about turning forty: scheduling one's first mammogram. Yeah. Currently we're set for August 15 but I'm thinking seriously of postponing until September so I can at least wait until I'm ACTUALLY forty.

Today I successfully removed my own cyst! From my back! It was really cool and kind of gross.

I went on a small eBay shopping spree Sunday night. I won a vintage bracelet that's difficult to describe: it's gold, and it's got, like, a vintage class-ring-type facia.
