Once you've had someone hold the light for you, it's pointless to go back. You've SEEN it, and you can hold at least a portion of it for yourself until you find another torchbearer. And there's one out there, but if they were easy to find, people would take them for granted.

So don't give up the search, and remember, it's not the destination that's important, it's the journey. It's what you go through to find and get them that makes them so valuable to you... If they just walked up and handed themselves to you, you'd begin to suspect there was something wrong.

Stay in the game. Shine a little light for yourself, and just remember that while ONE friend can't compare, all of them together can keep you well lit for quite a while.
