at the end of the day you have your thought
you are either beside someone or you are not

twisted is my mind
strained into the tightest coil
ever since my grip on your waist
made the blood in my eyes boil

understand me even when my tendons stutter
until then you are just the wonder
that swiftly turns my tender rudder

stuff the day down in the garbage
shut the door, hop in my bed
fight the battle with the jumping cattle
pull the covers over your head

keep your eyes open and your wits about you
there is not a man with both a smile and a loose screw
keep yourself grounded in the earth
you are the cause to each effect you sift through
feed your brain everything that it needs
treat your body just the same
know that even if it isn't jinxed
you may not end up with the perfect game

it is truly amazing, the resistance humans give the science theories
pushing against the machine
we are not just lab rats in pirate hats
