Apparently it's been 5 weeks since I posted anything here...I did post a picture in picturing_food last night but other than that...yeah...nothin'. The desktop died just as we were leaving for Canada...the week of Christmas and it didn't get fixed until the night before last so I was just getting on facebook on the uber-slow laptop mostly while the desk top was

I have been wondering where you have been hiding out. I saw the picture of the mammoth sandwich earlier today. It looked yummy.

How about this weather? Almost 70 yesterday and in the lower 40s today.

What park is that? I saw a sign for Tuckaseegee Park the other day while driving through Mount Holly. I don't think it is complete yet but I want to check it out. It is right on the Catawba River so it should have some nice views.

These were taken at Tuckaseegee Park. They started renovating the kids' playground areas and so on last spring/summer. We hadn't been there in awhile..and had only been there once or twice (we attended an Easter Egg hunt there last spring) and I was pleasantly surprised with all the improvements they'd made since then. Someone I talked to last time I was there said you can go fishing there too...and I noticed there are trails leading down into the woods and so on so I guess it is near the river or a lake or something...we just haven't wandered down that way yet. I'm sure we'll investigate it sometime soon and we'll probably check the geocacheing site and see if there are any caches there to look for.
The weather is crazy as usual this time of year. 70 yesterday and 40s today. Nuts.

They have grown like crazy even just since we moved to North Carolina 2 years ago. Wes turned 7 in October and Olivia turns 6 next month. It's hard to wrap my head around sometimes.
How old is Hannah now?

Honestly? Climbing up the slide? It's a developmental thing. IF there was a line-up of kids waiting for the slide, then I might wonder. But it's totally cool to let them climb. They need to, in fact. (This is what I"m learning in class)

So yeah. You're a good mum for lettin' them climb. No worries. I'm just glad to see they're having fun!

Yeah I know it's something all kids do...I just try not to have them doing it when there are other kids using the slide. They had a good time. :)
