Books can be dangerous. The best ones should be labeled "This could change your life."
~Helen Exley
In 2007 I read a grand total of 1 book. I used to love reading and I hated not having the time or interest anymore, so I made it my news years resolution to read at least 20 books in 2008. At first I thought that was stretching it, but when I started reading Twilight I was bitten by the reading bug and am now going through a book a day. My new goal is 50 75. I was keeping a handwritten list in my file-o-fax but I thought it was about time I typed it up.
I have always managed to get lost in my stories and enjoy every one of them but the occasional book stands out as being brilliant and these are ones I definitely recommend to others. If its marked with a $$ then it is well worth buying and you should all head off to amazon and order a copy of it right now.

oo1. Stargate SG1: Roswell by Sonny Whitelaw and Jennifer Fallon $$
I'm a big fan of the whole Roswell conspiracy and I've always loved time travel stories so I really enjoyed this book. The story was well planned out and it was awesome how everything came together in the end. If you are a Stargate fan you really should read this book.
oo2. Stargate Atlantis: Blood Ties by Sonny Whitelaw and Elizabeth Christensen
oo3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Doomsday Deck by Dianna Gallagher
oo4. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer x2 $$
It's Twilight guys! You all know this book is amazing, and if you don't where the hell have you been?? I will never forget the feeling I had when I was reading this book for the first time and I will never really be able to describe it either. I was hooked instantly and it was such a joy to discover this world for the first time. Everyone should get to experience that, so go buy the book!
oo5. New Moon by Stephenie Meyer x2
oo6. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
oo7. Gallows View by Peter Robinson
oo8. The Host by Stephenie Meyer $$
Another Stephenie Meyer production. I loved this book. I've read some reviews saying she focused too much on the characters and left so much of the Sci-fi plot unexplored, but the characters make the story as far as I'm concerned. I fell in love with the people and I really enjoyed reading this book.
oo9. Every Boys Got One by Meg Cabot
o10. Red Lily by Nora Roberts
o11. A Girls Guide to Vampires by Katie McAlister $$
I always seem to love the books that most other people don't. This is the first in Katie McAlisters Dark Ones series and it was definitely my favorite. I guess people weren't happy with the fact that (spoiler......) she didn't actually end up with the vampire, but I loved Raphael from the beginning so I wanted Joy to stay with him anyway. The other books in the series are great too though. The first one didn't have much of a supernatural element but the others do get pretty heavily in to magic which is really interesting.
o12. Sex and the Single Vampire by Katie McAlister
o13. Sex, Lies and Vampires by Katie McAlister
o14. Even Vampires Get the Blues by Katie McAlister
o15. The Last of the Red Hot Vampires by Katie McAlister
o16. The Switch by Lynsay Sands $$
This book is brilliant! Read it! Its not going to take you on some great philosophical journey of self discovery, but this book will entertain the crap out of you for hours. The story is fun and interesting and hot and sweet and funny. Its well worth your time and money - trust me!
o17. All I Want by Lynsay Sands
o18. Always by Lynsay Sands
o19. Bliss by Lynsay Sands
o20. Perfect Wife by Lynsay Sands
o21. Sweet Revenge by Lynsay Sands
o22. The Chase by Lynsay Sands $$
Another of Lynsay Sands particularly brilliant period romances. I love them all but this, and The Switch, are definitely the two stand outs. Buy, borrow, steal, do whatever you have to to get your hands on this book.
o23. Single White Vampire by Lynsay Sands
o24. Love Bites by Lynsay Sands
o25. Tall, Dark and Hungry by Lynsay Sands
o26. sTORI Telling by Tori Spelling $$
I've never been a major Tori Spelling fan. I knew who she was, I'd watched her on 90210 and I'd seen her in Scary Movie 2, but I never knew much about her. I always liked her though so when I heard about how interesting her autobiography was I decided to buy it and I'm really glad I did. Hearing about her life was fascinating. I was so addicted I was up until 4:30 in the morning reading it. I've gotta admit it was a little sad hearing about what it was like working with Shannen Doherty 'cos I've always been a fan of hers and I was determined not to believe all those rumors about how mean she was on set. But hearing it described from Tori's point of view kind of burst my bubble :P But aside from that it is a great book and you should all read it.

o41. CHERUB: The Recruit by Robert Muchamore $$
My brother collects these books and I decided to read them when I had nothing else to do. I was surprised to find that they are actually pretty good. If you have a younger sibling in the 8-15 age bracket you should definitely buy this book for them.
