When Chris and I were on our way to cioppino's, we had to drive in some pretty severe weather. We also got stuck in back of an 18 wheeler. We were down the street from Cioppino's when we heard this huge "THUD!" on my roof. We think it was a huge tree branch. Just came back from Cioppinos in Ellington to see Sam's friend's band Violent Rein play. Chris and I left before the end of the first set b/c we were so tired and Chris has to get up early anyway. Phew it's been a long week...actually it's gone by fast, just when you're out in the sun, time seems to be going by fast. The kids are cute though, my 5-6 year olds come up to me already and give me hugs and hold my hand and smile and wave, not to mention follow me around, even when they're not supposed to when I'm with summer school! I don't want to go to work today! I don't want to go to work the rest of the summer! I don't like getting up early! lol. My first day was pretty good. I met a few counselors and talked to them. I have it pretty easy. I keep an eye on kids with another counselor for an hour, take my group of kids and do stuff with them for a half hour, go to summer school to pick up kids around 12, get a 20 minute break, gather the kids around 2, leave with them to drop them off at ( Read more... )
