A perfect Portland evening as part of a not so lazy weekend
As much as I would have loved to do nothing but loll around all weekend, reading/watching movies/getting some, we had to be productive - we had two house showings scheduled early and one right after the other so we used that time to run some errands where Kurtis stayed in the car with the pups while I shopped.

Another house showing, another road trip
This time we headed East - we had just planned on taking the pups to the park but it was far too crowded, as any park would be on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We decided to go to the Columbia Gorge all the way to The Dalles, where Kurtis was born. Past the Multnomah falls and the Bonneville Dam, along the Columbia and with the Cascades all around us.

Life's little events, in nifty bulleted form
- Our outdoor cat is now an indoor cat again - he had a nasty abscess on his back (not helped at all by the fact that he was BITING it) and is now inside with a large bald spot on his back, a bandaged midsection, a soft Elizabethan collar to keep him for re-opening/re-infecting the wound and a constant look of disdain tinged with disgruntlement.
