I don't like tha blackness at the beginning. It doesn't seem very effective for a trailer. Maybe if you had some words or floating images or something, but the deadness doesn't lend itself very well to the short time you have to preview the movie.

i think that the black would work if the preview starts right away with the dialogue instead of those few seconds of nothing. also, a fade from black would be a lot better than a cut. other than that a lot tighter from the first one.

oh, and I do like the black personally, it forces you to pay attention to what's being said, although floaty words wouldn't be an awful choice either. Maybe just smokiness...
