I loved this. So much fun reading. Kal's character at the beginning was so fun, pretending he couldn't understand Lex and just grinning at him. The background with the Kawatache tribe and caves was really nice too.

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was hard sometimes trying to keep it strictly Lex's POV, but I think that worked out better in the end with regards to Kal's sneakiness.

Thanks! I knew that I wanted Kal to be injured somehow in the last part of the story (I'm a huge fan of hurt/comfort themes) and I was wracking my brain for a way for it to happen. Then I was watching S3, saw "Talisman" and voila! Glad you enjoyed it.

What an enjoyable read. It was really well written and flowed well. Lex as a hostage.... well thought out and the plot was smooth. I was unable to put it down until I had read it all.
